COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE
Context
Following on from the adoption of the Code
of Conduct a procedure was adopted should a member wish to
make a formal complaint about any members of the Board of Society.
Stage 1
Formal complaint to be sent to the Chair of the Trust. Confirmation
of the complaint to be acknowledged within 14 days. A copy of
the complaint to be sent to the Trustee concerned and a response
required to the Chair within 14 days.
Stage 2
The Chair to respond to the complainant within an additional 14
days upon receipt of the trustees response.
Stage 3
Should the complainant be unsatisfied with the response given
in stage 2 a right to appeal will be available. An appeals
panel comprising of 3 other members of the Board of Society picked
at random will hear the complaint. The appeal should be requested
within 28 days of Stage 2. Both parties will be able to make written
or personal submissions to the panel. The decision of the panel
will be final.
Procedure in the case of a complaint against the Chair
The Secretary should be responsible for processing the complaint.
