Parties ]
Ever since the Supporters' Trust gained control of the football
club, working parties of volunteers have been organised to clean
up St. James Park, to make necessary repairs (some required in order
to obtain a safety certificate at the beginning), and to generally
improve the appearance of our ground.
The work parties have now become much more organised, with volunteers
carrying out many essential tasks that need doing to maintain the
fabric of both St. James Park and the Cat and Fiddle training ground.
Also the post match work parties to clear up litter etc. are now
a regular feature, and take place straight after every home match.
Work parties are also enjoyable - we make sure to stop for
regular tea breaks, and it's good to spend time with like-minded
individuals who all have the same thing close to their heart - Exeter
City FC!
These working parties are becoming increasingly popular, which is
great to see and also very encouraging. Everyone who attends has
a good time.

Post-match Clear-ups
The post-match work parties are now well established,
and many thanks are due to all those who come along. We have found
we can manage them right after each game, regardless of day or
evening, so all clear-ups will now take place straight
after every game.
The work involves clearing the stands and terraces of litter etc.
This enables the ground staff to concentrate on caring for the
pitch.
Volunteers attending the parties meet at the bottom corner of
the Cliff Bastin Stand, at the Well Street entrance, after the
match has finished. There they are given the brushes etc. and
organised.
Helpers Information Sheet
If you have contributed some time to any of the work parties, or are
thinking of doing so, please could you take some time to fill out
a 'helpers information sheet'. We are in the process
of setting up and maintaining a database of helpers, which will enable
us make best use of the 'human resources' available.
Filling in a form will not mean that you will be called upon to
participate in all work parties. The work parties will continue
to work in exactly the same way, i.e. purely voluntary. The database
will allow us to better harness the supply of people who can help
out at Exeter City FC, primarily on the increasingly popular work
parties, although hopefully this can be expanded to other activities
at the club.
Many thanks.
